Meredith Klein, Teacher, Philadelphia Tango School

Meredith began studying tango in 1999 in Massachusetts and, after 6 years of growing obsession, sold everything she owned to move to Buenos Aires in 2005. Shortly after, she began working with Andres, and commenced touring with him in 2006.

Meredith studies with Gustavo Naveira and Giselle Anne, Carolina Bonaventura, and Alejandra Martinian. To support her development as a tango dancer, Meredith practices pilates and yoga, and studies ballet and contemporary dance.

Meredith has a B.A. in Music Theory from Amherst College, and a certification as a yoga teacher.

Andres & Meredith moved from Buenos Aires to Philadelphia in February 2008 to open the Philadelphia Tango School. In addition to teaching in Philadelphia, they continue to travel to give weekend workshops throughout the US, Europe and in Buenos Aires.
