ARGENTINE WEEK PHILADELPHIA 2012

The Philadelphia Argentine Tango School is very pleased to be able to participate in Argentine Week Philadelphia, a week-long celebration of Argentine culture organized by the Embassy of Argentina (DC). Public events include tango demonstrations in Love Park, an art exhibit, a film screening, and more. Please see the full list of public events below. For all demonstrations in Love Park, we will be dancing directly on the concrete, so please wear shoes that you don't mind scuffing up.

Wednesday, October 31
4:30-6:30 pm: Screening of Un Fueguito (2010), a documentary about the Argentine Nobel Prize Winner Cesar Milstein, Wu and Chen Auditorium Levine Hall Lobby

Thursday, November 1
12:30-2 pm: LOVE MILONGA
in Love Park (Next to City Hall, Philadelphia)

3:30-4:00 pm: Argentine flag raising and National Anthem. Mast outside the City Hall.

7:30 pm-midnight: Milonga, Malbec & Empanadas, a milonga/reception co-sponsored by the Embassy of Argentina and the Philadelphia Argentine Tango School. Includes a free class with Damian Lobato & Meredith Klein. Limited admission. Click for more info.

Friday, November 2
12:30-1:30 pm: Tango Demonstration in Love Park (Next to City Hall, Philadelphia). Music DJed by Lesley Mitchell & Kelly Ray. Volunteers needed to demonstrate tango. Volunteer now.
